Planning is a process by which communities reach well-considered decisions that are documented in community plans and land use regulations. In Alaska, especially rural Alaska, planning occurs in various forms and community plans represent the diversity in our people, cultures, and places.

The Division of Community and Regional Affairs (DCRA) has designed and implemented the Community Plans Library (CPL) for the purpose of collecting and sharing community plans from across the state including comprehensive plans, strategic plans, land use plans, transportation plans, and other planning documents.  This library is an evolving resource that grows over time as communities, agencies, and planners voluntarily submit plans to be housed in a shared database and website.

The Community Plans Library (CPL) is searchable by region, community, year, or plan type.  Search results are available via PDF document download or email notification.
