Alaska Coastal Impact Assistance Program

State of Alaska    > Commerce    > DCRA    > Planning and Land Management    > ARCCS    > ACIAP
The Federal Coastal Impact Assistance Program (CIAP) authorizes funds to be distributed to
Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) oil and gas producing states to mitigate the impacts of
OCS oil and gas activities. CSSB 75 (FIN) provides that a portion of the State of Alaska’s CIAP funds be appropriated to named municipalities and coastal resource service areas, and to an open public solicitation for capital project grants. The Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development is the lead agency for these programs.
