The Research and Analysis Section provides information resources and conducts research studies to support local government development, community planning, local capacity building, and rural policy development. Community information resources include multiple online and publication resources including the Community Directory, Economic Development Resource Guide, and Community Profiles. Original research projects include various community, regional, and statewide projects exploring local social, economic, and cultural conditions. |

| Biography: |
Athena recently celebrated her twenty-year anniversary with DCRA, having served in both the Anchorage and Bethel Regional Offices providing local government and research assistance. Athena has worked directly with many small communities across Alaska. Currently, she works on special projects and assists with the updating and maintenance of the Division’s information resources. Athena has a Master of Public Administration specializing in public management. |

| Biography: |
Ann recently completed work as an AmeriCorps VISTA at the Center of Economic Development and Institute of Social and Economic Research, facilitating local capacity building and economic development. At DCRA, Ann assists with data collection and maintenance for numerous mission-critical information resources. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology. |
