Copies of your renewed license will not be sent out. License renewals can be verified in the Professional License Search. Enter your last name and NUR for the Board. You can also print the Confirmation/Receipt online renewal web page.
If you prefer to submit a paper renewal application, you can download the application from our LPN Applications page. Please note: processing time for paper applications is three to four weeks.
LPN renewals end on September 30, 2014. If you do not renew your license in time, you will need to submit a LPN Reinstatement form. Do not let your license lapse. Reinstatement costs time and money.
Registered Nurse, Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist license renewals begin October 1, 2014 and end November 30, 2014. Online renewal for RN and ANP will be available. CRNAs will continue to renew by paper. You will receive a reminder or the renewal form in the mail when renewals begin. Update your address with the Division if needed.
Certified Nurse Aide renewals ended March 31, 2014. You may still renew if you completed your continuing competency requirements during the renewal cycle (April 1, 2012 - March 31, 2014). Renewal applications can be downloaded from the Nurse Aide Registry webpage.

The Board adopts regulations to carry out the laws governing the practice of Nursing and the work of Nurse Aides in Alaska. It makes final licensing decisions and takes disciplinary action against people who violate the licensing laws.
The Board meets four times a year and offers a public comment period at each meeting.
