Participation in trade missions and trade shows provides invaluable opportunities for face to face meetings that will strengthen existing business relationships and build new ones.
Trade missions and participation in trade shows are activities organized by the Governor’s Office of International Trade in cooperation with the private sector and other government agencies. The involvement of Alaska’s small businesses and the contribution of their knowledge and interest in China’s markets greatly increases the value of these promotional activities to our state.
The Office of International Trade will lead delegations on trade mission and to overseas trade shows in key markets for STEP participants as appropriate opportunities and interest arise.
The Office of International Trade organizes the visits of inbound trade delegations from China, each of which is generally focused on a specific industry sector. The office works with both private business and government officials and agencies to encourage a strong Alaskan response to these opportunities.
Small businesses wishing to be involved in these activities must meet the requirements set forth in the STEP application.
