Board of Veterinary Examiners The Board of Veterinary Examiners is staffed by the Division of Corporations, Business, and Professional Licensing. The Board consists of four veterinarians and one public member. Board members are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the Legislature. Please Read: Renewal Applications Renewal applications will be available no later than December 1, 2024, in accordance with AS 08.01.050. Please note, you must wait for an updated renewal application to renew your license. You cannot renew your license using any prior renewal forms. Please see the Telemedicine Business Registry FAQs for more information regarding telemedicine registrations through www.BusinessLicense.Alaska.Gov. The Board adopts regulations to carry out laws governing veterinary practice in Alaska. It makes final licensing decisions and takes disciplinary actions against people who violate licensing laws. The Board meets three times a year and offers a public comment period at each meeting.
