EXAMPLE: ABCD1234 Information Regarding Required Examinations Attention Exam Candidates and Prospective Examinees: The National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) has transitioned its examinations to a new structure where online applications must be filed through the new online application system, Clarus. Examinees for licensure as a licensed nursing home administrator will need to pass a 110-item “core of knowledge” section and a 55-item line of service section that are administered through PSI services. NAB’s examinations test for entry-level knowledge in long term care administration. The Nursing Home Administrator Exam (NHA) has been developed and administered by NAB for decades and is taken by over 2,000 candidates across the nation annually. All applicants seeking first-time licensure via examination in Alaska must first submit an initial application (form #08-4020) to the Department to request approval to apply for the NHA Examination.
